Power Efficiency & MEUC announce new training courses on energy purchasing to meet demand.

Posted: January 19, 2012

Power Efficiency, a Balfour Beatty company specialising in energy management and carbon consultancy and the Major Energy Users’ Council (MEUC), have announced that a second round of training dates have been organised to meet demand for the popular courses based on the Principles and Practice of Gas and Electricity Purchasing.

After sell-out sessions in October, the new training days will take place in February, and will support the recently launched workbook, co-authored by Mark Callaway, Energy Markets Director at Power Efficiency, and Robin Welsby, Commodity Manager Energy and Utilities Europe at Celanese International. The training forms part of the MEUC’s established Training Academy for industrial, commercial and public sector energy users.

The dates are as follows:

  • London, South Bank University: February 7th
  • Warwick University: February 8th
  • Manchester University: February 9th

Mark Callaway, who will present at all three venues, said: “The previous training sessions attracted enormous attention, and we have added these new dates in order to ensure that we get the message across about the impact of energy prices to as many people as possible. We will be providing practical guidance on how companies can improve their mechanisms for purchasing gas and electricity and understanding the market in which we are operating.”
